What are PDO Thread Lifts?

PDO Thread Lifts are a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves inserting tiny threads in strategic locations just beneath the skin’s surface.  These threads are made from a dissolvable polydioxanone (PDO), which is commonly used in surgery and medical sutures.  As they dissolve, they stimulate collagen production and promote tissue repair.  Over time, they use your body’s natural healing abilities to rejuvenate the skin and create a youthful appearance.

  • Anyone that has considered a surgical facelift, or wants to reverse the signs of aging should talk with us about PDO Threads. We are happy to provide a thorough consultation, assess your goals and help you determine if PDO Threads can accomplish what you’re looking to achieve.

  • You will see results immediately with this treatment. However it is important to understand it takes months to see the full effect of this treatment.

  • We can use PDO Threads to treat:

    • Cheeks

    • Jaw/chin area

    • Just about any area on the face

    • Stomach

  • Some clients do experience minor bruising and/or swelling around the area where the suture is inserted. That can take up to a week to heal so while no specific aftercare is needed for this, it’s just something to be aware of. No exercise for 2-4 days may be recommended depending on what area was treated. As always, please use sunblock daily, especially after this treatment. Please consult with Dr. G for more specifics.
